Dear Guest,

With Courage and Hope.

My old school motto means more to me today than it ever did during my school years. Then, the biggest crisis I faced was whether or not I'd get tickets to Duran Duran - and permission to go.

That motto led my school through two World Wars and the very real threat of permanent closure. Today, it’s thriving. But the students must also draw on courage and hope to face today's challenges.

Overcoming adversity requires sacrifice, hard work and banding together for a common outcome. It also requires belief in your vision.
This month, WNA's theme is Visualise. We will be tackling the causes and the solutions to avoid blockages and help us achieve our vision. Read on for more news on events and other happenings around the network.

And don't forget to download your free social media content planner for the month of March as we continue to help you turn your vision into reality!

Until next week,

Cheryl Gray

CEO

P.S I didn't get those tickets to the Duran Duran concert - but I do have a very limited number of double passes to a free movie, The Duke, starring Helen Mirren, thanks to Transmission Films. Click here if you'd like one. No overnight sleepovers or queueing required!

The NSW Women’s Economic Opportunities Review will consider how to improve women’s economic security over the next 5 to 10 years, including through increased participation in the workforce. The review will identify barriers to women’s participation in work and propose reform opportunities to address structural and non-structural barriers to support women to enter, re-enter and stay in the workforce.

Femeconomy.com are requesting the NSW Government introduce at least a 5% gender equality procurement target for women owned and women led businesses. The US Government has a target of spending 5% of their budget with women owned businesses, which was introduced in 1994. Australian governments could do the same - with significant flow-through benefits to the broader community. Review submissions close Sunday 6 March.
