Dear Guest,
I am not exactly sure how many days April went for, it seems like time has taken on new meanings lately. What I can say though, is that I’m glad to finally see the fresh new month of May! But before I launch into the upcoming excitement, I want to do a quick recap on all the things WNA has worked hard on throughout April.
We transitioned to virtual events
With the restrictions on groups and gatherings, we had to make the sad decision to postpone our scheduled events around the country. I truly appreciated your understanding and that of our speakers as we made this tough decision.
Fortunately, we were able to move quickly to establish WNA Virtual, a
six-episode series of online events focused on helping our members maintain business momentum during this challenging time. During April we virtually attended Episode One with Sally Prosser and learnt how to stop our listeners hitting mute during phone or virtual conversations. Time flew during Episode Two with Janet Camilleri of Front Page Web Writing as we learnt about how to improve our search engine optimisation (SEO) and steps to immediately increase the chances of being found online. We are currently planning Series 2 of WNA Virtual, so stay tuned for details.
Also during April I implemented my weekly “From the CEO’s Desk” email. I am loving the opportunity to connect regularly with members and summarise the week that was! It’s a great way to remind you about WNA member benefits you should be taking advantage of, and remind you of the fantastic upcoming events! I appreciate the kind feedback that I have received about this communique and, as always, encourage you to provide any feedback or contributions you have.
As many of you have noticed, another change during April was to really increase the focus on the fantastic work being done by our WNA members. I have implemented the weekly WNA Member Highlight which is shared on our social media pages, as well on our WNA website. This gives you the opportunity to share your business achievements with our national network, and beyond. I have also introduced our regular “Monday Matchmakers” and Tuesday’s “Time to Shine” in our Facebook Group and encourage you to get involved and promote your business as part of these specific opportunities. If you’re not yet part of our Facebook group, search of us and request to join.
Finally in April’s list of achievements, we rolled out a special partnership called I Empower Through My Power which provides WNA members and friend with the opportunity to save on their energy bills while also donating to charity. I’m thrilled that a number of members have chosen to spend their savings windfall by buying things they need (or desire!) from other WNA members. We’ve created a virtuous circle!
In all, it’s been a BIG month! But, wait, there’s more… behind the scenes I have been working on something special that I am very excited to finally be able to launch!
Welcome to MAY MEMBER MONTH!!!
With the economy slower than usual and many of our members facing financial challenges, it is more important than ever that we support each other. Starting today, I will be providing members with a raft of opportunities to promote yourself, save money and WIN PRIZES! Scroll down for further details.
WNA has dedicated this month to you and is also encouraging you to spread the word with your friends and contacts, providing them with the opportunity to join WNA and share in the value that the network provides.
I have developed a WNA Member Month calendar of activities that will help you make the most of upcoming opportunities.
During the month, I will continue to provide you with weekly email updates, and our popular “Socialise at Sunset” virtual networking sessions to highlight parts of your WNA membership you might not be utilising at the moment.
There is so much to come that I am very excited about! That includes another two WNA Virtual events this month as well!
As always, I am here to help, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do assist you.
Wishing you a wonderful May!
