It was great to hear the WNA Hobart Event last Friday was a terrific occasion brimming with good food, networking and encouragement for each attendee. I have shared some positive thoughts from our members who attended and it really shows how aligned, determined and united our assembly was in support of our charity partner, Women's Legal Service Queensland. The 5 minutes for Me App has been a wonderful addition to my toolkit particularly on those stressful work days and you can continue to access FREE podcasts and meditations until December 31, 2020.
There were many fabulous prizes donated during the Christmas lunch including a number of member written books that have some wisdom to pass on of their own. Read on further to discover insights into acing your family budget, developing resilience and unpacking your passion and inspiration to live your best lives.
Your WNA blogs have been a wonderful source of ideas and learning for many of our members and this week you can tap into topics such as gifting for Christmas, Trademark distinctiveness and empowering introverts to communicate effectively. | | | LAST FRIDAY'S HOBART EVENT - CREATING A VISION FOR 2021
Last Friday, our Hobart members and guests got together for their last event of the year. Rachael Downie and Alison Rogers led a vision board workshop to encourage attendees to create a visual picture of their goals for 2021.
Alison set the tone with some deep questions around: - What do we really want and how do we want to be known?
- What do we value most in our lives and businesses?
Rachael's advice and tips on mindset were helpful as the ladies worked through their personal vision boards. Each attendee was able to walk away with the tools and know how to be ready for 2021.It was a fun luncheon with great new connections made and an enjoyable and interesting round of introductions as everyone got to know each other and what they aspire to do in the new year for their businesses and personal goals.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED AND SUPPORTED THE CHRISTMAS LUNCH!
In a year that has challenged us all to lean in and adapt, I reflected this week on many of the supportive messages our membership sent after the WNA Christmas Charity Luncheon. I thought I would share a few of them with you not to gloat, but just to show how much our network means to all of you and during a year when connection, empowerment, and encouragement are such needed causes, just how powerful supportive words can be at times for everyone, myself included.
"Thank you to you and your team. It was a lovely lunch and a great day of meeting fabulous and inspiring women. I am indeed looking forward to joining and becoming an active and new member in 2021. Looking forward to an amazing 2021".

"What a fabulous Christmas Charity Luncheon with so many brilliant women. What an honour it was to be in a room filled with women wanting to make a difference in the world. The feel good vibe was overwhelmingly contagious, there was great humour and a tear jerking acknowledgement of the tremendous work of raising awareness and support for Women's Legal Service Queensland. Collectively we raised over $10k on the day".

THE US WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM CONTINUES TO FIGHT FOR EQUAL PAY!
The US Women's Soccer Team has reached a settlement with the US Soccer Federation in a legal battle over working conditions but a dispute over equal pay with that of their male counterparts continues. The agreement last week is a partial victory for the World Cup Champions who will see an improvement in hotel accommodation, venues, travel and staffing that will put them on equal footing with players on the Men's National Soccer Team. Among one of the most notable changes is a requirement that the female players have been fighting for years which is that "matches be played on grass in almost all circumstances." Read more here.

Morris said "it hasn't been an overnight success...but it's really amazing and a great moment for our team".
