Dear Guest,

This week I was delighted to be featured in the September edition of Authority5.0 Magazine about how Covid has "pushed" WNA to respond and become a virtual companion for our members and to take advantage of new business opportunities. I have never felt more connected to WNA members than I do now and I am determined to continue our goal of connecting to a truly national audience. Feel free to have a read of my article, A 'Push', or read the full magazine including some of the other fascinating stories of truly empowering women by clicking here.

Speaking of virtual companions, Socialise at Sunset is on again this Friday 4 September so register now for a laugh and chat, and the chance to share our weekly news together. For our upcoming in-person events, please register now Hobart members for our #techmindfulness luncheon coming up on Friday 11 September and for those looking towards Christmas, please support the WNA Christmas Charity Luncheon on Thursday 26 November. The early bird booking rate has been extended to 11 September!

The final Episode in our Season Two for our WNA Virtual Series is expanding to a panel discussion where you'll have the opportunity to hear from our WNA Leadership Team. Each member of the Leadership Team will share a fast five minute update on their current business challenges and how they are working to overcome them. With a diversity of businesses amongst the team, it will be interesting to hear the differences and similarities, as well as how we can collectively support each other going forward. There will also be time at the end of the session for questions. Due to popular request, this event will be held at the new timeslot on Wednesday 16 September from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Tickets are available here.

Spring has arrived! And with it there seems to be a new energy in the air! It could just be the pollen, but I'd rather believe we starting to see the lifting of the COVID cloud and looking towards a sunny future. If the energy hasn't quite found you yet, read on to find out more about Sue Lester and how she helps women beat Imposter Syndrome and ditch the dieting process. You will also find out more about how you can contribute to the 30-year anniversary souvenir edition of the WNA magazine!

Thank you Dyan Burgess for your article, "Connect Digitally", your reminder about connecting the right dots amidst a world full of digital information was enlightening, and your tips on staying focused on what you are trying to achieve with your digital research was key. I encourage you to also read content from other enthusiastic blog contributors, Janet Culpitt, Samantha Chambers, Bronwyn Condon and more wonderful ladies.

I have included some information below about free ASBAS small business development webinars in September, a funding application opportunity through the CSIRO Kick Start Program, and a fantastic opportunity to further your governance ambitions with the Chant Legacy Scholarship.

If you're thinking about what to add to your Spring Clean list, I highly recommend taking a look at your social media accounts. Take the time to unfollow some of those accounts that don't do anything for you anymore and follow a couple that bring some light into your day!

Finally, our 30-year anniversary WNA souvenir magazine is going to be our best yet, so take this opportunity to contribute an article or advertise now (details below).

As always, I am here to help, so please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Janelle x

As this magazine is a special edition, we know it will be highly anticipated by current and former members, as well as the wider business world. Don't miss this fabulous opportunity to boost your business brand!

Your profile on the WNA business directory is the best way for our members to connect with you. When WNA members are in need of a particular service, they are encouraged to visit the business directory on our website and search for members that may be able to assist. In order for members to find you in their time of need, it is important your profile is up-to-date. Log in to the WNA website member portal and review your profile taking into account the below key points:
  • Do you have an image of yourself and/or your business logo uploaded onto your profile?
  • Is your headshot current and taken by a professional photographer to meet our image guidelines?
  • Does your profile outline the services that you offer in your business?
  • Have you included any offers that are available to WNA members?
  • Are your contact details up-to-date? Website, email address, phone number?
  • Have you refreshed your bio to include any new virtual offerings?
This information could help you reach more WNA members and allow you to get more out of your WNA membership.
